Speyside Group Appoints Malminderjit Singh as APAC Head

Speyside Group, a leading global emerging markets corporate affairs and public policy consultancy, today announced the appointment of Malminderjit Singh as Chief Operating Officer of its Asia Pacific (APAC) business as part of its regional growth.

Malminderjit will oversee Speyside’s APAC business helping it grow geographically across the region as well as across core specialist sectors including healthcare, digital and disruptive technology, and sustainability. Based out of Speyside’s Singapore hub, he will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Ian Herbison to continue the firm’s growth momentum over the years. Together, they will oversee and lead the group’s extensive network of Asia Pacific offices that drive policy, stakeholder engagement, and communications activities, which includes an on-the-ground presence in nine out of ten markets in Southeast Asia.

Malminderjit joins Speyside with 18 years of experience working across public affairs, public policy, communications, journalism, and academia. He was most recently Managing Director of Penta Group’s Singapore office and Editor of Digital News at Singapore news network CNA before that.

Malminderjit’s other roles include as a Correspondent with The Business Times, as Assistant Director (ASEAN) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and as Executive Director of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His track record has included working on complex policy reviews and advocacy for companies and industry associations, trade policy negotiation and analysis, political and crisis communications for political and business leaders and organizations, media campaigns for private and public organizations as well as thought leadership projection for leaders and organizations.
