Speyside Group, a leading global emerging markets corporate affairs and public policy consultancy, today announced the appointment of two additions to their policy team in Asia Pacific: Joel Tng and Tom Srirattanan. These appointments are to support the continued fast growth in core specialist sectors including healthcare and digital/disruptive technology.

Joel joins the Singapore regional hub as a Senior Consultant and will provide regional oversight to the group’s extensive network of Asia Pacific offices, providing local insight into policy, stakeholder engagement, and communications activities.

Joel Tng is an experienced regulatory specialist who worked most recently at the Urban Redevelopment Authority on a diverse range of urban planning policies. This included local and regional projects such as healthcare and data regulation, planning for hospitals and medical research centres and working with ASEAN counterparts to innovate regulations towards an increasingly digitised administration.

Tom, Senior Consultant, has recently started in the Thailand office and has extensive international experience in policy consulting and regulatory analysis. Before joining Speyside, Tom worked as a fiscal affairs executive for major multinational company, where he collaborated with stakeholders and institutions on tax and fiscal issues, as well as wider research and position papers on data, digital economy and the gig economy.  Tom also taught at Thailand’s Mae Fah Luang University, where he conducted research and directed international collaboration and knowledge-sharing platforms centred on ASEAN and its member countries.
